Chicago’s Hispanic community will again celebrate Mexico’s independence from Spain as well as South-of-the Border culture at the 29th annual Festival de La Villita (Little Village Festival), one of the Midwest’s premier outdoor gala of Mexican heritage. Features food, non-stop music, arts/crafts and carnival rides. And on Sunday, the festival is the end location of the 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade.
