At its core, Wicker Park Fest is a reflection of the vibrant Wicker Park area…historic and hip, diverse and eclectic. The festival that Chicago magazine has called one of the best of the summer returns for a lucky 13th anniversary season July 23–24. Wicker Park Fest continues to grow in size and scope with every passing year. It’s here, where three stages of live music programmed by Subterranean, including a fourth kid’s stage, showcase some of the most highly anticipated music acts of the summer. Presented by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, Wicker Park Fest annually draws over 70,000. This year’s colossal street party also presents a dedicated children’s fun area, an arts section with installation and performance acts, dozens of the most popular local boutiques and restaurants, and environmentally-friendly production efforts. To top it off, the $10 suggested donation for admittance still makes Wicker Park Fest another steal of the summer event season. Partial proceeds benefit the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce and local elementary schools TBA.
