The summer festival that’s been hailed as one of the best in the city and suburbs by the Chicago Tribune and others returns to the “hottest neighborhood” in the country (per Redfin) for a 12th consecutive season. For the first time ever, West Fest has added a third day – Friday – in honor of the 10th anniversary of the popular DJ Stage. As always, West Fest will feature some of the most critically-acclaimed live music of the year on two stages (plus a third family-friendly stage) programmed by West Town’s nationally-renowned live music venue, Empty Bottle. The annual street fest also includes West Town’s most popular boutiques and restaurants, as well as Pet Fest, Kid Fest and live art making by local artists. West Town organizers anticipate at least 50,000 people will attend the weekend festivity, which only costs a $5 optional donation for admittance. A percentage of proceeds benefit West Town Chamber of Commerce, Talcott Elementary School, and Pet Charities TBA.
